There’s a new feature up, the final one before I leave for Italy. I hope you enjoy it, or at least what it links to.

On to the feature!

Well guys, I don’t see how I’m going to have time to do another feature before I go, unless it’s a goodbye feature. I feel horrible. I thought I would have time to update right until the very end, but that’s obviously not the case. To prevent this from being some emo livejournal post about how much I have to do, blah blah, I’m just going to launch into what IS going to happen, rather than what’s NOT going to happen, and the reasons for that.

1) There will be guest features while I’m gone. Or there should be. Three people or so have agreed to chip in with the fighting effort to keep Jux alive without me, so we’ll see what happens.

2) You still have Kenny, Travis and Laurie. So…yeah, they’ll be here too. Hopefully writing a feature or two.

3) I’m going to try to post journal features from Italy . This is NOT A DEFINATE THING. I have no idea if I’ll be able to pull that off or not, but I’m going to have my laptop and a digital camera with me while I’m there, and I plan on keeping a travel-journal thing anyway, and taking a shit ton of pictures. When/if I get downtime I’m going to burn those things onto a CD and pray that I find a net cafe that gives me access to a CD-ROM drive. If I do, I’ll try to upload some nifty journal stuff for you. While they won’t be strictly humourous features like most Jux fair, they’ll be written by me …so yeah. Pretty pictures? At the very least I’ll toss a newspost or two up while I’m gone.

4) It’s not FOREVER. Just from now until sometime in/around August 10th. Probably a bit after that, since my cousin is getting married and I have classes starting RIGHT after I get back.

As a final note, not that any of you care, UPS tells me that all the copies of the second draft of my novel that are going to be distributed before I leave are now in the hands of those people to whom they belong. Word.

After a month of traveling, I am finally back.

So…nearly two weeks in a cross country road trip to Oregon to visit my Grandma, another week in Mexico doing mission work, and finally a week in Florida with Sara’s family to relax and get sunburned just bad enough that I peel again. It’s ok, peeling is fun and entertaining!

I’ve been gone a month, and now that I’m back, my perspective on terra familia has changed, I am fighting tooth and nail to not fall back into the rut I was in before.

Also, Graeme is leaving for even longer than I was gone 2 weeks from now. You guys just aren’t going to get the full Juxation anytime soon are you? :D Maybe kenny will spontaneously decide to go backpacking in the Ozarks the week Graeme gets back? Only time will tell.

Last night we were bored so some friends and I built a computer from spare parts. Its way crappy, but thats what spare parts do. At least we didn’t have to pay anything for it.
I’ve been reading Harry Potter V, and I must say it is an excellent book. Go read it!

Actually, while I am holding a copy of the Order of the Phoenix in my hand at this second, I doubt I’ll get to read it until I get to Italy. Over the next few days it’s work, girlfriend, and most of all…CRASH COURSE BOOK EDITING.

After that, I have to do a research report and finish a 500 page Roman history book. My study abroad session’s impact on Jux has already begun.

Work approaches. Lots of it. I suspect I might be eeriely silent the next few days…although, that could just be a warning to cover my ass, even if I’m talkative as ever! HAH!

Damn dentist. When, oh when, will the numbness flee my poor face?

But my teeth look better! Nummy.
