Well, the spam mail that drove me to create a certain feature was, I thought, the worst spelled one that was out there. Then I got this today (I saw the title flash by as my junk filter deleted it in Thunderbird, and I thought it might be one that was hit accidentally. It wasn’t):

Get the most out of your lobve liufe.
Orsder your Vbiagbra and Sdupver Viqagkra savfely and securkely onlipne.

Cibalzis (Suiper Vivaqgra) takes affcect rigyht away and lazsts for dayys!

Ewntqer Hepre

…and people actually by PRODUCTS from these places?

There’s a new feature up. I had to check and make sure Zen hadn’t posted one before doing it, though. I saw the early tests of his new haul.

In other news, the Link Farm page recieved a slight overhaul today as part of the ongoing work on the site. It’s still not very pretty, but it’s no longer half-assed and it has a lot more links than it did. Hurray for progress.

Most of the other changes we’ve done to the site will become visible all at once. Specifically, those that are news and feature oriented.

Made in Japan.

There be a new feature here!
(No more lies, no sir)

Get under that shelter, there!
(I ate the pie, oh yeah)

Well, as of today I noticed it’s official. The road I took to park at school every day for the past three years is gone. Entirely. It’s been replaced by a grassy green hill and a sidewalk. I’m not sure entirely how I’m supposed to respond to this. Park of me wants to celebrate the environmentalism of it all. The rest of me just wonders why the hell they felt the need to move the road over 100 feet and end it in a traffic circle.

Progress, I suppose.

Jenny, I got your number. 867-5309. Yeah, that’s right.

I must say I’m quite impressed, guys. I like the neojux icons, especially the news icon. Also, I may post a feature tomorrow. I think it’s time we all knew the truth about Mars…

Until then… who knows…

Maybe I’ll go home.

Well, I’ve had an interesting day as far as reference goes. Not only did I finally get the definitions to prove to my girlfriend and mother once and for all that ham is NOT pork, but I also just basically got to tell someone that they may have just won the lottery. After opening a “really old chest”, the found two coins. One of them, and they showed it to me, looks exactly like a Brasher 1787 Doubloon, EB on Wing . I’m no appraiser, and since there are only 7 of these things known it fills me with doubt, but it looked exactly like coins I have seen from that era, slightly off-center pressing and all. Lord only knows if it’s real. If it is, they just found lucky number 8, and I got to tell them that the last one sold went for $750,000…in 1979.

For anyone who cares, and it had better be most of you, I am done hand copying the first 279 hand made news posts into the SQL archive. Hopefully, if I can whip up a helper, the remaining unknown number of news posts will be SQLized before the day is done. In doing this, I have realized that Jux has a history and life of its own now. For anyone who is extremely bored, I’d recommend glancing through the news archive. It is actually interesting to see how we all develop and become a part of Jux. Obviously, Graeme is the most active member of this site, but we all have our Great Moments in (Modern) Jux Entente History. Meow.

There is a new Picasso feature.

Also, it’s worth noting that Kenny was the first one of us to ever get a job. And now he’s the first one of us to retire. Awesome!
