After three days, book #2 (I’m keeping even the title secret this time) is already the third longest story I’ve ever written. Which causes me to go “Dayum.”

1,756 words and an entire first chapter later…I have begun.
I’ve had a lot of ideas for my second book over the past year or so, but even the best of them never really seemed to be all that good to me…and thus never reached the boiling point where I just had to write it, like I did A Man on a Hill. Some of them I can barely remember. Others came close and faltered when I realized they were really about nothing (The Eternal City). But lately one of them has reached a fever pitch in my head, bouncing back and forth with careless abandon.
I’ve started on some of the other ideas before, too…a page or two here or there. That’s usually when I realized they were horrible. I have high hopes for this one, though, and sometime next week I’m going to set fingers to laptop and see what comes out. I have almost the entire first chapter written in my head already, and if it comes out even somewhat okay…well, let’s hope, shall we?
Feature for you all. I must say its rather funny, as it involves jokes. I can’t take all the credit though, my fellow Juxters Graeme and Travis helped me out. You might have heard of them before. Go read it.
