I’m not promising anything though, because I’m not sure what’s going to happen when I get home. It might be an abbreviated version of that feature I planned to do on low carb stuff. Who knows?

All the changes I made in the 3rd draft have now been entered in the computer. All that’s left is for me to write query letters and send them off to my agents of choice. First, Imma take a nap.
Kenny has made huge strides on Jux 2.0 the past few days. In fact, the new mainpage, news poster, and news archive are working perfectly, as is the database in general. It’ll probably take him longer to finish the new feature poster, but, hell…we’re on the way.
Regular features will return when I stop trying to prepare my novel for agents and start wondering what the hell they’re going to think of it. If all goes according to plan…that’s tomorrow!

I think it’s hilarious that I can upload the lastest work on my novel to my story backup on Jux faster than I can copy it to a floppy disk. What would they think in the 1980′s, I wonder?

I got my super-ultra glasses today. I’m already used to being able to see perfectly again, but not to having these things perched on my face. Good thing I have an appointment to get fitted for contacts next week.
I don’t remember 20/20 looking this good. I didn’t think my eyes had gotten that bad (I can still easily pass a driving test/DMV eye chart, so I thought I was fine), but man, this is great. It’s not a whole new world or anything, but still pretty nice. Once I get contacts I’m sure I’ll enjoy it even better than I do with these super-ultra-mega-duper-bofuso-glasses.
Oh, and Jux 2.0 isn’t dead, just so you know. I also feel required to tell you that all of the Jux members are now hanging out in #juxentente on undernet on a constant basis, although we idle a lot. Kenny decided it would be a good idea for us to get back to our IRC roots…he was right. So far, we’re loving it.
Then again, we’ve not had an op war yet. Stay tuned.

I only finished two chapters today, because I had to take time out to wash my car, pack up a ton of crap in my room, and visit with my neglected girlfriend. At any rate, two chapters is still well ahead of schedule. I’m looking to actually finish the entire thing tomorrow. Wish me luck! As the charts show, there’s almost exactly a fourth of it left to go.
