Based on a real dream.
The dream started as a journey to the past. I was at Travis’ wedding again, only this time it was in a large school auditorium. The other groomsmen and I lined up at the back of the left aisle, in preparation for the ceremony. For some reason a little faceless girl tugged my sleeve and pulled me to a seat. We sat down as the ceremony began; I knew I should be up with the rest of the groomsmen, but something inside kept me sitting next to the little girl. The groomsmen proceeded down the left aisle, and the bridesmaids down the left. As the wedding progressed I had a strange feeling of disembodiment, as if my location were completely wrong. After the wedding, there was a man behind a TV in the middle of the stage, talking to another man. I recall thinking the first man was having financial problems.

Later, I’m not sure exactly how much later, my family and I decided to camp in a treehouse. I think it was the night of the wedding. We set up a large tent and a teepee. The tents were flapping in the wind, it seemed like it was going to storm. I didn’t want the teepee to blow away, so I put three logs inside, around the edges. The logs did not help, so I moved the teepee inside of the other tent. My mom called everyone to the window and pointed at the moon. It looked like there was a black spot moving across the surface of the moon. We all stared in wonder as the spot moved and grew. Eventually the spot was the same size as the moon, but it was no longer on the surface. The moon and the spot began moving around eachother. It started slowly at first, but eventually the pair was zooming around the sky. The moon was heading for the horizon, and I knew it would collide with the Earth. I jumped out of the treehouse and ran for the basement, thinking it would be the safest place to hide. On the way down, I saw a bright light behind the horizon near the moon’s vanishing point. I ducked and covered in the basement.

When I left the basement, everything was in ruins. The moon had crashed into the Pacific Ocean, causing massive tidal waves. In the kitchen I found Kara, Kim, and Kurtis, and in the TV room I found my dad. Everyone else was washed away. I decided to check the internet for information on the moon crash. This is when the dream ended.
