I had a migraine today for the first time in awhile. And, yesterday, while playing at Sequoyah Park with Laura, my rainbow XS Elite-Z disc golf driver disappeared for what is probably the last time. The thing had a habit of getting lost in the woods by becoming invisible…but it disappeared over a field. I’m thinking of ordering a new one in bright blue or reddish pink to match the rest of my discs. With the puppy thing falling through my parents still haven’t gotten me anything for my birthday, so I think I can swing a $13 golf disc out of them at least. Maybe pick up a Wizard putter while I’m at it.

Speaking of other things I can’t do, my grand plan to sit around my apartment, play World of Warcraft, watch Star Trek reruns, and read several thousand pages a week while enjoying being single has failed.

Shucks. I was looking forward to getting Baetina to 70 too.

Finally, thanks to watching Death Proof twice in the same weekend, I now have “Chick Habit” so far stuck in my head that it’s rented an apartment and is throwing wild frat parties. Thanks, Quentin. I needed that.

You and Kenny both need to start showing me up again. This is a heavy burden to bear alone. It’s like being eaten by a bear. Alone.

I still function!

I need to start writing some features again, just on principle. :)

Pac-Man, I stab at thee!

Travis and Sarah are now Team Ninja Sifters.

With that, we’re spent.

(11:44:25 AM) Kenny Knapke: We’re the Thanatological Thagomizers

So there you go.

Just like I hoped we made a few huge leaps of progress on the details of the EPIX tournament.

First, in case you didn’t know, we’re playing with boy-girl teams and an alternate-play tournament format. The person who tees off alternates each hole, and then the other player plays from where the drive lands, and so forth.

The date to remember is October 13th. The teams and their colors are currently as follows:

Team They Haven’t Told Me Yet
Kenny
Kelley

Team Strategic Arrogant Superiority
Graeme
Laura

Team They Haven’t Decided Yet
Travis
Sarah

The trick now is to flip I digital coin to see whether we start in the East theatre (Wills and East Roswell parks) or the West (Sequoyah and Oregon parks). I think doing the /random to decide this will be one of my last acts in World of Warcraft, as my subscription is officially up on the 30th, I haven’t played in weeks, and I’m not renewing.

My strategy for the EPIX is to use my superior cardio to wear down the weaker competition. I hope. Maybe.

My money’s still on Kenny and Kelley.

For those of you not “in the know”, and I think that includes everyone not on one of the teams, the Jux Entente will be hosting the first ever EPIX disc golf tournament coming up in what looks to be October. 72 holes of golf, four courses, one day. Pure hilarity.

Sadly due to the fact that we’ll already be passing through these parks like a kidney stone as it is, this event is invitation only. We will be filming this for a video feature if current plans hold out. Stay tuned is all I can say, because details are falling into place. Official team announcements will follow shortly. There will be no “Team Jux” or “Team Biscuit” this time around, as none of the members of the Jux Entente are on the same team.

The true story of nothing at all important.
