Why did I wait this long to watch Love Actually just because of the people in it? It’s the exact sort of Christmas/Romantic schlock I have no defense against. Damnit.
I found one flaw, though. At one point the movie you’re asked to believe that someone would choose Shannon Elizabeth over Elisha Cuthbert. Now, not to say Shannon Elizabeth isn’t pretty or anything, but, seriously now. All things being equal (and in this movie their single character motive is “willing to have sex with an ugly Englishman while wearing stereotypical American clothes”) you’d have to be insane to make that choice.
I think it’s time to do my quasi-yearly state of the union address.

Christmas is the only time of year you’ll find me singing along with religious music. Happily.
It sucks having no one around for the holidays, especially when you don’t have anything to do but play videogames (which is what I want to do right now, but shhh)…but an R/C helicopter distracts from that pretty well. Especially when you annoy a cat with it.

Christmas is the only time so far I’ve missed living with someone. It’s just weird being alone at Christmas. A roommate would help, but meh.
