I’m done! Doooooone!
But, damn it all, Forrest Gump chokes me up every time. When he asks if his kid is dumb. When he talks to Jenny’s grave. Urk.
I just finished the first draft of my final paper of the semester a few hours ago. Tomorrow is revision day and its due at midnight. After that, it’s wide open until after the New Year. Now it’s time to shave the beard I promised I wouldn’t touch until after I finished.
Actually, I think I might wrap presents first and put the last of the ornaments on my tree too.
Huerta v Guida: Fight of the year.
First drafts of my first two papers done! One I’d rate a ‘medium’ on my person scale, with the other ‘terrible.’ But I don’t give a damn about getting a B on the second one anymore, since it’s in the hell class. We’ll see. I hope the first one’s alright, but it’s been forever since I’ve done historiography, and most of the books I had…
You know what, fuck it? Do you care about highly technical ranting from a history major? No. Let’s just I’m less stressed now, at least slightly, and I hope these damn things turn out okay. Neither one is what I’m good at/used to do doing, is all.
Laura’s birthday is today. Happy. She also sent me this. Caligula is missing, but oh well.
One paper is done, another is getting done. The third got moved back. Things are going alright, but I can’t wait for this all to be over for the semester.
Ten pages in to my Japanese Baseball Cultural Paper of Meiji Restored Doom!
It only has to be 15.
My stress is slowly melting away.
Of course, I have a short (as hell) presentation on Monday as well.
And a second, pure historiography paper due on Thursday with this Japanese meiji restoration doom paper.
But I’m almost 1/3 of the way done with my end-of-semester work!
