Historic Preservation
Go with him, girl. Anna. Give me my damn ring back.
Through the diligent work of a few brave souls, or just plain old blind luck, occassionally a real piece of history is saved from destruction long enough for us to get a chance to study it and protect it further. The Museum has benefitted greatly from a few treasures; parts of Juxes past left to survive on their own in a dark and scary internet world, just waiting to be found. While we also rely heavily on source documents that survived through great hardship on individual computers, it is these public sources that have accidentally provided some of the greater insight into parts of Jux history that, for whatever reason, failed to register in the memories of even some of its most ardent fans until they were face to face with them, once again. Below, you too can visit some of these sites.

The Adelphia Page
Those of you not completely up on your basic Jux history may have forgotten that the page was originally hosted on free web space provided by Crossed Reality's isp. When the site moved to its new server, that page was abandoned...but not deleted. Only the index page was replaced with a redirection page, a unique relic in itself. Because it's not a real Jux page, however, we've linked to the Features page on the old site, through which you can browse everything BUT the main page. What we are left with is a freeze frame of Jux 1.1 as it was in the first week of June 2002, right as preparations for the new server were finally completed and the move pulled off successfully. This is better than any recreation we could ever perform.

The Wayback Machine
Although it never really lives up to its potential, the Wayback machine does have quite a few saved snapshots of Jux dating back to August 2002. The first was taken during Super Mario Week, and interesting foot note in Jux history.

The Downloads Page
Officially abandoned when the Link Farm was created, the Downloads page was never really deleted, just the link to it. As a living relic on the Jux page that hasn't been updated in nearly as long as the site has been in existence, it traveled through two server moves, and now lurks out of site, just waiting for someone to get curious enough to, maybe, find it. The files it links to still work as well, and they are far more important than the page itself.

Information: Jux Entente Site Creation
Originally featured on the very same Information page where the Museum is now housed, this page was a relic of a time when the members of Jux pretended that people cared how they worked on the site.

Information: Jux Entente Site Format Explained
When Jux was first created, the layout was apparently confusing enough to require explanation. Crossed Reality has since blamed this on the fact the commentary boxes appeared BEFORE the features...in other words, the fault of his own damned ancestors. At any rate, as the numbers of readers grew, and the site format slowly evolved over time, people stopped asking and Jux stopped updating the page. It remains on the server, unlinked, floating aimlessly except when Museum patrons stop by to stare in awe.

That's all we know currently. If you, or anyone you know, stumbles across a historic piece of Jux, PLEASE contact the Museum IMMEDIATELY. There are too few left to risk damaging those that remain.
