A Regretful Decision
But it had to come to this.
Ever since this site began, we have had a good relationship with Elliott Hoffman of Spelling the Vacuum. He was the first person to link to this page, and he's even contributed features to this page before. And that is why the following issue was discussed privately before now. Elliott has been using Jux Entente intellectual property without permission for quite some time now. Many attempts were made to strike deals over how to deal with the unlicensed uses, while admitting that there had been acceptable use in the past, mostly as guest comics at Spelling. But an agreement was never reached. As such, we are now taking legal action against Mr. Hoffman to get him to remove the following offenses from his website. Permanently. As of yet, the only monetary factor in the suit is for our legal fees. This suit also does not include any usage of Spelling the Vacuum characters on The Jux Entente, as those were licensed with a written agreement, nor the lawful usage of Jux Entente property, of which there were several instances. Also outside of the scope of this action are the written articles on Jux by Elliott, because we purchased the rights to them, and all work done on room931 by Jux's Crossed Reality, as that was also done under agreement. Hopefully we can put this behind us soon.
This is so fake it's sad. Really.
1) Unlicensed appearance of Picasso in Spelling the Vacuum Issue 64

2) Plagarism of Picasso 34 in Spelling the Vacuum Issue 103. Said comics appeared online very close to one another. Usage of characters from other comics protected by the laws of parody.
The above stupidity is deliberate.

I love incesticide, don't you?
3) Unlicensed appearance of Picasso and Unnamed Blob in Spelling the Vacuum Issue 145

Needless to say, it's extremely regretful that this had to come up. But I can't stand by and let my intellectual property be abused. Hopefully, things will return to normal soon. I appreciate your support.
