Yes, thanks to three Ars threads, the new album coming out, and XM radio dedicating an entire station to it, for the past four or five days I have listened to absolutely nothing but Metallica. It’s like being in high school all over again!

St. Anger still sucks. And I miss Jason Newsted. I have to admit, though…as terrified as I am of the new album, the two singles I’ve heard so far sound better than anything off St. Anger.

It’s that time of year again.

If you didn’t know, my poor PowerShot A60 that I got for an early birthday present to take to Italy in 2003 offed itself a few months ago, leaving me camera-less and destitute. My BlackBerry’s 2 megapixel camera kind of managed to fill in, briefly, and certainly is a better mobile option than my OLD cellphone camera, but I was markedly without true photographic equipment for the first time in five years.

Well, I got a new camera tonight. Whooo!

Yeah, it’s 9:00pm now, and I’m still completely burned out to the point where I’m past caring. All I’m thinking about is that the Warhammer beta starts tomorrow.

I fully plan to chronicle the reasons we’ve been doing all of this shit (for Travis arrived home at the same time I did) for Jux. My job really doesn’t suck, but last night was the most I can take. It was my limit.

For some reason I find myself strangely sad that I don’t have to buy huge masses of school supplies.

I’ve not gone all ‘back to school’ on office supplies since 1997.

I have no idea what’s wrong with me. Maybe it’s because I’m facing my very first fall ever without some kind of schooling involved.

“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” It’s the movie everyone, wizards and muggles alike, wants to see. We’ve begged like dogs for the teaser trailer, and like dogs we drooled over it when it was released. We watched it over and over hoping to catch some details about the upcoming film, hoping like the dogs we are that some crumb of clarity will fall off the table into our waiting mouths. We’ve even watched it in slow motion, trying to place each flash to its corresponding page in the book.

Now that our appetites are good and whetted, when the dawning of the newest film is on the horizon, when the light at the end of the tunnel finally becomes visible, Warner Brothers makes the sickening decision to PUSH BACK the release date from November to…

Wait for it, kids…
