The only things spared were in my room, since everything was on redundant power strips. However, it got my phone...and my monitor. Since it got the monitor, I wasn't sure what had happened to the other components, so I decided to file a claim then in case something went wrong later. Thus, FitzSheba was born at least two years before she was expected. There have been no problems with the Sheba components re-used in the build. VIVSHEBA A Codename: Aptiva CPU: AMD K6-2 333mhz Motherboard: Unknown GPU: ATi Rage 128 (Onboard) RAM: 160MB (1x 128MB PC100 SDRAM, 1x 32MB PC100 SDRAM) Sound: Onboard Hard Disk 1: 6.4GB 5400RPM Quantum Fireball EX W/512KB buffer Hard Disk 2: 6.0GB 4000RPM Quantum Bigfoot TX W/128KB buffer NIC: None Modem: Lucent Win Modem (56k) Floppy: Yes Optical: 36x CD-ROM Case: IBM Aptiva (c. 1998) PSU: 220 watt generic Use: Vivian's primary computer until her birthday, when she will recieve VIVSHEBA B Fun Fact: A friend at work gave this thing to me, dead. I combined several parts of the old Gateway (which was finally, fatally killed by the lightning) that I had kept for no real reason, and this Frankensteined thing was born. Scarily enough, in Windows XP Pro, it runs like a greased ethnic minority. When VivSheba B is born, this thing is going to be added to my network and used just to run distributed computing clients until it dies.
