Inspiration
Athena Falconess returns, with an explanation of why she was gone.
Well, as you might have noticed I haven't been sending stuff to the site lately. That's because I've had writer's block. Now this is a new experience for me because I've never had it before. I've had times where I just don't feel like writing or I get bored with what I'm working on so I don't work on it for awhile, but I've never had the problem of wanting to write and not being able to do it. But I got bored so I figured I would chronicle exactly what I went through to get over it.

Conversation with Cobra
That's right. I have friends outside of Jux Entente. As a matter of fact, other that CR, I've never actually met anyone here, although I have spoken to Kitty and Zen a couple of times. Anyway, I started by talking to a friend of mine, who we'll call Cobra for right now, whose site I also freelance for. This didn't help much. First, he didn't believe that I never had writer's block, so he gave me a hard time about it. However, he did do the common friend thing and tried to comfort me by telling me I'd get over it soon while simultaneously continuing to give me a hard time. Yeah, he's lucky I have a thing for him or he'd be a dead man.

Conversation with Kitty
I'd only spoken to Kitty a few times, but he happened to pop in on me when I was at my lowest about it. I guess he felt sorry for me because he decided he wanted to help me generate ideas by playing one of those word games where I say a word that starts with A and then he has to say a word that starts with B that has something to do with the word I just said, etc. Anyway, it didn't really help me generate ideas, but it did get my mind off it for awhile. And for the record Kitty, here are some words that start with X if you're ever in need of them again, these are all I could think of in one sitting:

xanthic
xanthin
xanthine
xanthous
xebec
xenophobic
xerotes
xerox
xiphold
x-rays
xylem
xylography
xyloid
xylonite
xylophagous
xylophone

Entertainment
I finally got smart and checked out other sources of entertainment such as literature and movies. After reading Mercedes Lackey's Sword of Ice and Other Short Stories (my favorite book of all time) 3 or 4 times I finally went to the movies. No, I did not go see Star Wars: Attack of the Clones alright? And if I hear one more thing about Natalie Portman I'm going to scream. SHE'S NOT MY TYPE! I do find her attractive but not that much. Instead I went and saw Insomnia and there it was, my source of inspiration. I didn't even have to wait until the movie started to see it. I'd tell you what it is now but then that would be giving away what my next piece is about so I'll just end it here.
